Mutual Help Association Cluj (A.D.A.M. Cluj)

Cluj Mutual Help Association (A.D.A.M. Cluj) is juridical person of private Romanian law, apolitical and non-profit, which obeys the Romanian law applicable to such persons.
A.D.A.M. Cluj was started in the year 2001 as a result of an initiative of a group of Romanian and Belgian founders, having the purpose of developing the mutuality model from Belgium. The main partner and leader of the Association since the beginnings and until now is the Christian Mutuality from Brugge.
The purpose of the Association is the improvement of Cluj inhabitants’ life (of any age and any social statute).

Wthat does A.D.A.M. Cluj offers its members?
• Rentals: temporary use of recovery equipment, such as walking frames, crutches, hospital beds, toilet chairs, wheel chair etc. In order to benefit from these equipments the person must become member of the Association. The member quality is obtained through the payment of a simple annual tax (now 15ron/person, and 10 ron/pensioners and disabled persons). For every piece of equipment a monthly fee is paid.
• Health shop: products for sick persons that need bed rest (diapers of all categories and sizes, waterproof reams, girdles, sanitary alcohol, peroxide water, rivanol, sterile dressings, incontinence cream, anti-escare creams, talc powder, sanitary adhesive strip and patches, a diversified range of herbal teas etc)
In order to benefit from these products the person must become member of the Association. If the person is a member, than he/she can acquire these products for a smaller price than non-members. The products are sold at a social price, close to the price of the provider.
A.D.A.M. Cluj has opened the following work points:
• Focsani
In this work point, the main type of service offered to inhabitants was rental of recovery equipments.
